Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
- Profile you give us: name, email, date of birth (18+ enforcement), city/ZIP, one photo, questionnaire answers (values, rhythm, dream date, favorite foods, how you want to be loved).
- Sensitive information, only with your explicit consent: your gender and who you're seeking. Optional cosmic layer: birth date/time/place for astrology or Human Design content. We never collect or infer health or mental-health information.
- Verification proof: pass/fail status and a verification credential from our independent identity partner, which processes your government ID and selfie under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your documents or raw biometrics.
- Activity: your emoji reactions, introductions, chat messages, date debriefs and ratings (private to you and our moderation), payments (processed by our payment provider — we never see full card numbers), and basic device/usage data for security and analytics.
- Optional connections: social links you choose to share in chat. We never scrape social media.
2. How we use it
To verify you're a real human, build introductions (matching runs on your answers and reactions), open mutually-committed chats, book dates and partner perks, keep the community safe, process payments, improve matching through anonymized/aggregated outcomes, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. Chat and safety review
To keep members safe, first messages are reviewed before delivery, and conversations may be screened by automated tools and, where flagged, trained safety staff. Debriefs and reviews are moderated before affecting standing. We may preserve and share content with authorities when legally required or to prevent imminent harm.
4. Who sees what
Affiliated verification network (5arz): to make "verified human" real, we share verification events and status with — and receive verification credentials from — our affiliated network operator, 5arz ([ENTITY]). 5arz never receives your questionnaire answers, matches, reactions, chats, photos, or who you're seeking; the flow is verification-layer only, both directions.
Other members see your first name, age, distance band, one photo, and the "why you two" story only when you're introduced. Passes are private. Ratings appear only as aggregated standing bands, never itemized publicly. Service providers (verification, payments, hosting, communications, reservations) process data solely to provide their service under contract. We disclose only what a partner needs (e.g., a restaurant gets a reservation name and time — never your profile).
5. Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active. Delete anytime in-app or by emailing [email protected] — profile, answers, photos, reactions, and chats are deleted or de-identified within 30 days, except records we must keep (payments, safety/ban records, legal holds). Archived chats follow the same rule.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California and other US privacy-law states, and the EEA/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict processing, withdraw consent (including for sensitive data — which will limit matching), and appeal. Exercise them at [email protected]; we don't discriminate for exercising rights. Authorized-agent requests honored where required.
7. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege internal access. No system is perfect; we'll notify you of breaches as required by law.
8. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies (login, security) and privacy-respecting product analytics to understand feature use. No third-party ad trackers.
9. Age, children, and jurisdiction
Cupidt is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and delete it on discovery. Service is offered from the United States; data is processed in the US.
10. Changes
We'll notify you of material changes in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use means acceptance.
